Setting Up a Sequence in Adobe Premiere Pro
After creating a new project in Adobe Premiere Pro, the next step is to set up a sequence. A sequence is a timeline where you’ll assemble and edit your video and audio clips.
Step 1: Go to “File” > “New” > “Sequence”
In the top menu bar, navigate to “File” > “New” > “Sequence” to open the “New Sequence” window.
Step 2: Choose a Sequence Preset
Select a sequence preset that matches your footage or desired output. Presets include settings for resolution, frame rate, and more.
Step 3: Customize Sequence Settings
If needed, customize the sequence settings:
– Timebase: Choose your frame rate.
– Resolution: Select your resolution.
– Frame Size: Choose your frame size.
– Pixel Aspect Ratio: Select your pixel aspect ratio.
– Fields: Choose your field order (if applicable).
– Color: Select your color mode.
– Depth: Choose your color depth.
– Audio: Select your audio settings.
Step 4: Click “OK”
Click “OK” to create the sequence.
Step 5: Name Your Sequence
Name your sequence in the Project panel.
Step 6: Start Editing
You’re now ready to edit your project by adding clips to the timeline.
